Bipolar Disorder.
Sometimes, people with depression could lead to bipolar disorder, which has manic and depressive episodes. Someone with bipolar disorder will experience episodes of elation, episodes of depression and sometimes mixed episodes. Manic episodes are expansive or elevated mood state that that includes very rapid thoughts, tons of energy, talkativeness, and overflowing self-esteem. Depression episodes, as we have been covering, are slow or gloomy mood state taht includes negative views, fatigue, decreased appetite, constipation and insomnia. Mixed episodes is experienced when one might be having tons of energy yet feeling sad and lonely. These patients experience high mood swing that can be very dangerous.

Postpartum Depression and Seasonal Affective Disorder are two kinds of depression that only affect people at a certain time. Postpartum Depression happens after childbirth to women. Depressed patient may have a long-standing pattern of harming or threatening others or break rules in order to distract themselves from feeling depressed.
Anxiety Disorder
Even when no real threat is around, these patients feel uneasy or fear and sometimes physical tension. In children, anxiety disorders often sets in first, before developing a serious case of depression.
Eating Disorders
Eating behavior such as self-starvation or bingeing and purging can also be exhibited by depressed patients. Either depression or eating disorder can start first and lead to the other. The combined effects are loss of appetite, poor concentration, and lack of energy.
Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
A lasting pattern of poor attention and/or overactive behavior. Poeple with this disorder develop symptoms such as mood wings, withdrawal from other people, lack of energy and having trouble sleeping.
Learning Disabilities
This is especially the case for teenagers. They would find it hard to concentrate and study in school. Also, they might lose interest in school activities.
